Goal 15 Life on Land
BAMB supports the Sustainable Development Goals
The terrestrial ecosystems, grasslands, forests,, deserts and mountains provide us with clean air, water, food, medicine, and raw materials. Sustainable and regenerative land management is vital for human health, life and economic systems. The degradation of ecosystems impact production of food and materials and is a great threat to human life.
The built environment affects land use in many ways. Materials use in construction contributes to a considerable amount of the extracted raw materials on earth. A circular economy in the built environment could lessen the materials needed and Materials Passports could promote the regenerative management of resources by providing product information to consumers.
