VITO is an independent research organisation in the Flemish region of Belgium. VITO conducts customer oriented contract research and develops innovative products and processes in the fields of energy, land use, health, chemistry and materials, for both the public and the private sector. VITO provides policy advice for governments, strategic research in collaboration with universities and other research institutes and consultancy services for the industrial and the building sector. Central to all projects is the aim to protect the environment and encourage the sustainable use of energy and raw materials.
As Mahatma Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world”, VITO commits itself to the BAMB project objectives – because it believes it will contribute to the transition towards a circular and reversible built environment – by co-creating transdisciplinary systemic solutions.
